Small Fish, Full Fight — Samoan Proverb Tee

O le i'a a itiiti o igaga.
"The igaga is only a tiny fish."

This alagaupu (Samoan proverb) comes from a story of the fish holding a fono (council meeting) to decide whether to declare war on the birds. Because of its small size, the igaga wasn't even invited to the meeting — yet when the fighting broke out, it showed up and joined the fish anyway. It's spoken by someone who was left out of a council's discussion but whose stake in the outcome, and willingness to show up regardless, is real all the same.
